other tourist attractions

Aside from the popular tourist attractions like the beach resorts, bars and resto, hotels, shopping that cebu is known for, we also have our very own local tourist attractions. These are the places that most of the locals frequent to especially on weekends, and it has nothing to do with having fun and frolick, can you guess what it is ?

It has something to do with asking for favors, sacrifice and miracles, and lots and lots of prayers.... yes, these are the churches and shrines that are known to be miraculous.
Like in Simala, Sibonga, Cebu, where the MOnastery of the HOly Eucharist is located, it is known for the Crying Image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which happened almost more or less ten years ago, and since then it has been frequented by many locals and believers alike, asking for miracles from passing an exam to being cured from a malignant  disease.

The testimonies and the proofs of these granted prayers are all posted in their bulletin boards, which are only some concrete examples of the real miracles, not to mention, the ones who did not submit any letters of gratitude. I admit i have been there more than a couple of times already, and i was given a miracle ( yes, really )

going there is a truly refreshing,  eye-opening, uplifting  experience for me.  It reminds me of the presence of God and it has helped me enrich my faith even more, seeing and being with multitudes of faithfuls can help a lot too..

so if you are a believer, and a true faithful or even someone who is not, maybe going there can help you see the light..

and Simala is just one example...
